Many of us spend hundreds of dollars on skin products that promise to deliver an array of benefits, but we don’t realize just how many chemicals go into many of these so called ‘wonder’ products. Buying organic products with all natural ingredients can offer the same benefits and are much better for you too. Did you know, though, that there are products, probably in your kitchen right now, that are wonderful for the skin and are all natural? Here are a few that you can try tonight:

1. Honey and Oats Masque for Glowing Skin

This masque is wonderful for both oily and dry skins as honey is hydrating as well as antimicrobial to kill bacteria and prevent pimples. Honey has also been shown to give life to dull skin by giving you a beautiful glow. Oats is a natural and gentle exfoliator that will remove dead skin cells and it also has wonderful moisturizing properties for dry skin. Oats is fantastic for sensitive skin as it soothes and calms and is also a great natural alternative for skin problems such as acne or eczema. It’s also great to use when you run out of our organic Pink Clay or Green Clay masks!

Here’s how to do it!

Simply add ¼ cup water, ¼ cup oats and 2 teaspoons of honey into a bowl and stir until combined. Apply a generous layer all over a cleansed skin, leave for 10-15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. The honey will rinse off easier than you might expect. Enjoy the gorgeous results!

Try the Skin Brightening Collection that has been scientifically proven effects on skin clarity and texture.

2. Banana and Milk Face Masque for Baby Soft Skin

This masque will leave you with super soft skin! Bananas offer hydration and are amazing at fading acne scars and reducing breakouts, whilst milk has incredible skin-softening properties. For more anti-scarring results, see our skin brightening range!

Here’s how to do it!

Mash up half a banana into a bowl and add two tablespoons of milk. Apply all over the face, focusing on trouble spots and leave on until it dries (skin will start to feel tight). Rinse with lukewarm water and follow with a natural moisturizer suited to your skin type.

3. Blackhead Buster Beauty Masque using Baking Soda and Lime

Blackheads can be a real pain especially on areas such as the nose. This 5 minute masque will help to draw the toxins right out of your skin and help to clear those pesky blackheads.

Here’s how to do it!

Pour ¼ cup baking soda into a bowl and squeeze enough lime juice to form a paste. Apply a thin layer to problem areas and leave until it dries (it will turn white and form a hard crust). Simply rinse off with lukewarm water! This masque is also wonderful for preventing new blackheads due to its antibacterial and antifungal properties.
