Keeping hydrated is the best way to keep your skin smooth and glowing, but instead of just drinking water why not drink a hot cup of herbal tea that not only keeps you hydrated, but is full of skin loving nutrients too!

Nettle Tea

If you suffer from constant and very frustrating acne breakouts then nettle tea is for you! Nettle tea is a detoxifying tea as well as a blood purifier as it helps the liver and kidneys to remove nasty toxins from our bloodstream. These toxins can make an appearance through our skin in the appearance of pimples, blackheads and inflammation. By effectively removing them from our bodies, your skin will start to clear, acne breakouts will be greatly minimized and you will be left with clear, glowing skin that will give you heaps of confidence. If you want to use nettle as a natural acne treatment then aim to drink at least 3-4 cups a day.

White Tea

White tea is one of the teas at the top of the list when it comes to the link between tea and beautiful skin. Due to its high antioxidant concentration and ability to protect the skin from oxidation, white tea can delay the aging process. It doesn’t stop there. White tea also helps to keep the skin clear and can even be used as a topical treatment to reduce inflammation and soothe the skin. Simply brew a strong cup of white tea and allow it to cool. Soak a washcloth in the cooled tea and gently rub over the face as a toner.

Green Tea

This extremely popular tea gets its name from the green color it has once brewed. Green tea compounds are extremely high in
antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties. This incredible tea can prevent aging, protect against skin cancer and improve wound healing. If applied topically as the white tea was explained, it can treat skin conditions like psoriases and eczema.

These are just three wonderful teas with incredible benefits for your skin, but there are even more out there. Walk into any health store and the options are endless. These teas promote health, which reflects through our skin. Always purchase organic teas if you can, and remember: if you feel good, you look good!
