The harmful UV rays from the sun can be our skins worst enemy if you get too much. Even though you might not see damage in your teens and twenties, your thirties and later years will make you wish you can turn back time and apply that SPF. The sun makes us lose collagen and therefore elasticity in our skin, which after years of repeated exposure with no protection leads to wrinkles, sagging and age spots.
Start wearing SPF everyday alone or under makeup. Wear an organic, chemical-free sunscreen that uses minerals instead of harmful chemicals to protect your skin (active ingredients should be zinc oxide and titanium dioxide).Don’t forget that your body does need UV for Vitamin D, so you need some sun (~15 minutes a day, or longer if you have a darker complexion), just not too much. Hydration is Key
Water, water, water is what you need for a smooth, glowing and dewy complexion. Dehydrated skin from lack of water shows up as dry, flaky and dull skin as well as chapped and peeling lips. Aim for at least 2 liters a day, but even up to 3 liters in the colder and dryer months.
Use an Eye-Cream as Early as your Teens
The delicate under-eye area is the first place to show signs of aging as this is the thinnest skin on our face. Keep it intensely moisturized from a young age as an anti-aging precaution. Most eye-creams are targeted at delivering intense moisture and should be used twice a day. Avoid eye-gels as these tend to dry out the skin and can cause irritation.

Exfoliate Once a Week
