Beauty Doesn’t Have To Hurt!

 “Over 100 million
animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in labs every year. That’s
about 50 animals killed by the time you finish reading this sentence. And most
of us will continue on with our day not realizing that we, as consumers, have the
power and ability to help put these atrocities to an end by simply choosing
cruelty-free options.” –

Having been
part of the scientific world I’ve seen what testing on living creatures really
looks like, and this is one of the reasons why I quit my career in biochemical research. Even
though there are certain cases, where testing on living organisms can’t be
personal care is definitely not an area where this is the case. There are other
ways to test whether one product is suitable for human use (like using
cell/tissue cultures) – which makes animal testing outdated, and completely

In addition to the blatant cruelty of animal testing, do you want to put something on  your skin that is so potentially toxic it had to be tested on animals before being sold?

I am not planning to upload images of
animals being tortured, because we don’t want to shock everyone – our goal is to educate and protect you, your family, and animals. Preventing animal testing is
up to you! Stop for a second and think about the choices you
make every day, and realize that most of the right now could be promoting animal testing.   If the majority of cosmetics weren’t being formulated with a myriad of chemicals and refinery by-products, there wouldn’t be a need to test on animals!

This month, we want everyone to know that we feel animal testing is not acceptable in the cosmetics industry, nor should it be necessary.

We are happy to share with you that during the month of April a percent of our sales will go to New Life Sanctuary! New Life Animal Sanctuary

New Life Animal Sanctuary is exclusively devoted to the rescue and
rehabilitation of animals retired from laboratories. Our slogan is Life
After Labs! This ground-breaking effort offers a permanent home to cats,
dogs, rabbits, rats, and others, where they will never suffer in the
name of vivisection or be confined alone in small cages again. Many labs
are starting to retire some animals to sanctuaries rather than
euthanize but there is currently nowhere for them to go…. Until now! To
date, we have saved 2 dogs, 1 cat, 6 rabbits, 4 guinea pigs, 88 rats, 55
hamsters, over 200 mice… And we’re just getting started!

New Life Sanctuary sent us some photos of the little fellas they’ve managed to find new home for. Aren’t they super cute?

Let’s show our support and help those who need it!
